Some will only connect to a laptop for a short while before the clone tactrix will brick. Some will work fine as a datalogger using evoscan if there is no internet connection on the laptop. Also Tactrix has stopped producing the original Tactrix 2.0 cable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#00d084\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Does the modified Tactrix clone work with EcuFlash and Evoscan?:<\/strong> <\/mark>Yes, the modified Tactrix clone cable will connect and work with Evoscan and connect, read and write with EcuFlash. An internet connection on your laptop will not affect the cable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#00d084\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Does the modified Tactrix clone work with all cars a normal Tactrix would?:<\/mark><\/strong> I&#8217;m not sure. I didn&#8217;t test it yet. I have tested MH7202F and MH7202FA ecus. That includes the 3000gt 1998-1999, all Chrome ecus(1991-1999), EVO 5\/6\/6.5(1996-2001), Diamante (1998), Montero (1998-2000), Montero Sport (1998-2000). Ill update this list if I find out more work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#00d084\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Instructions to use the cable:<\/mark><\/strong> The modified Tactrix cable connects to a windows laptop normally. The cable datalogs normally in Evoscan. In EcuFlash it works like normal except during rom flashing and reading. The provided 19V power supply must be plugged in approximately a couple seconds before reading or writing a rom to the ecu. This puts the ecu in a read\/write mode. This should be unplugged after the read or write completes. The power supply puts the ecu in the correct mode to perform this function. This power supply should only be plugged in during the actual read or write process. The ecu will not run the car or actuators when in the write\/read mode. I am not sure what will happen if the ecu is left in the mode too long. I have tested it for 5 min with no ill effects.
